It really pisses me off how many people want help, but cant get it due to lack of insurance or insurance not covering most of the cost. Ive helped a few people look into scholarships ect and it amazes me how many people dont know that these options are available. So Just in case anyone is interested: (1. will be Meetings. 2 Scholorships. 3. There are alot. Also add phone meetings or online meetings to your search if thats what you are interested in. 2) Scholorships: (Will pay for part of or most of treatment) *NOTE if none of these work for you, contact facilities in your area. Many will work on a sliding scale or reccomend ways to cut down the cost. It was started by 3 young girls in recovery. They have residential centers, you apply and are accepted (or referred to somewhere that can help) for NO COST. -Link to Apply: http://www.mercyministries.org/OurProgram/Admissions/Apply.aspx C) Manna Fund (Will help pay for treatment) http://www.mannafund.org/ -Link to download App : http://www.mannafund.org/applying_with_manna_fund D) Milestones ProgramResidential OR Day program that will work with you on cost) http://www.milestonesprogram.org/ -How to reach them:http://www.milestonesprogram.org/ F) The Joy Project: (If your insurance will not cover treatment they will fight it) http://www.joyproject.org/overcoming/insurance.html 3. Other Options: A)Colleges- -If you ARE a student many campuses offer free support groups or counsling at student services. -If you ARE NOT a student: Call around. May universities offer free counsling. Especially those with strong phych programs. The students who will soon be graduating with a degree need “practice” B)Go with Another Diagnoses. If Insurance wont cover for your ED, if you have depression, anxiety ect they may cover residential that treats for multiple issues including EDs such as mercy ministries (See above) C) Research - Alot of Programs are doing research to find out more about EDs. They often offer two things. Finincial Compensation OR Free treatment for participants. D) TV.- This is for a last resort for most, but I was in IP with a girl who Dr Phil Paid for her to be there. My parents also attempted this when they were desprete. Even if your story is not aired, big names will sometimes offer to help pay for treatment after hearing your story. This is by no means a complete list. I just wanted some resources here for you guys just in case someone is ever looking and feeling stuck, because thats a terrible feeling. I’ll update as I find more, and I am sorry if this is hard to read though ..

So a darling gender neutral spunk i know Allie is having a tough time at the moment. Allie has depression, severe anxiety, irritable bowel syndrome and a metabolic issue. Home life for the lovely Allie is a bit tough, ze’s parents are separated and there is parental rivalry happening which adds to Allie’s stress. Allie is an Interactive Digital Media student and a pretty wonderful artist. Click here to see some of Allie’s art
Allie has been living off hir savings because ze is unable to work due to hir health. Ze is looking to move out in the next few months (to live with me!) and is in the process of applying for the disability pension, but ze really needs help now.
